Jake Bader is a second-generation PGA member with the PGA of America and an award-winning golf instructor. He has been recognized for his contributions to player development, earning the 2020 Oregon PGA Player Development Award and the 2019 Oregon PGA Youth Player Development Award. Additionally, PGA Magazine’s GRAA has named him one of the “Top 100 Growth of the Game Instructors in America” in 2022, 2023, and 2024. In 2021, Jake led Colwood to an NGCOA National Player Development Award. He also received GOLFTEC’s “Top Coach Award” four times.
Before joining Colwood, his teaching career began in 1996 in Washington, and he has since worked at a variety of public, private, resort and indoor facilities in Palm Desert, Portland, Lake Tahoe, and Mexico. With over 28,000 lessons taught, Jake has helped over 65 juniors advance to collegiate golf, coached 13 club champions, two course record holders, two NWAC champions, and an NWAC Athlete of the Year. He also works with local PGA professionals to refine their games.
Jake tailors his coaching to each student’s individual goals, employing the teaching methods best suited to their unique swing and learning style. Utilizing video analysis, V1 coaching software, and a SKYTRAK launch monitor, he integrates cutting-edge technology to enhance the learning experience. His comprehensive 5-star instructional program ensures students receive a structured, effective path to improvement.

Tom, who has been a member of the PGA of America since 1995, has over 30 years of experience teaching the game of golf at four facilities. Tom has grown to become a seasoned, popular instructor, who has helped hundreds of golfers from entry-level players to skilled competitors improve their game and enjoyment of it.
Tom began his journey as a golf professional as an assistant at Sand Point Country Club in Seattle in 1990. He then spent 13 years at Meadowmeer Golf Club on Bainbridge Island WA from 1992-2005. Tom’s family moved to Vancouver WA in 2006 where he briefly worked at Pro Golf of Vancouver before spending the last 15 seasons at Lake Oswego Municipal Golf Course as the Manager and Head Professional.
Tom received the Oregon Chapter PGA Player Development Award in 2019 and is recognized as a leader among his peers. Tom’s approach to teaching is to help each student unlock their full potential by identifying how they can achieve the proper impact position. His goal is to make sure that each student fully understands a concept before introducing a new one.
Tom has extensive experience teaching juniors how to play and grow into competitive golfers. He has led over 100 junior camps in his career as well as being a PGA Junior League coach since the program’s inception.
