jbasile@kempersports.com
Jason Basile is our Director of Instruction. This will be his 26th year at Heron Lakes with 16 years of teaching experience and over 10,000 lessons taught. Jason is extremely proud of the relationships he has forged over the years.
Originally from New York, Jason was introduced to the game at very young age by his father and grandfather. He has competed and won as both a high-level amateur and a professional and knows what it takes to help golfers take their game to the next level. Whether you are just being introduced to the game or training for tournament play, Jason can help you achieve your golfing goals.
Jason believes that strong emphasis should be placed on the importance of pre-shot fundamentals. The proper grip, aim, stance, balance, posture, alignment and ball position is the foundation and basis of any good golf shot. Using V1 software for video analysis and a FulL Swing launch monitor Jason has the latest technology to help you with all aspects of your game.

John Raffaele is an Assistant Golf Professional at Heron Lakes Golf Club. He has been employed at Heron Lakes since 2021 and in the PGA of America since 2022.
Raised in SE Portland, John has played golf in the greater Portland area for decades. The Great Blue course has been his favorite course in the area for many years. He was introduced to golf by his Grandfather Jack at a young age and grew to love the game over many years.
As an avid golfer, John found his passion to teach the game of golf for a living. He dedicated himself to learning about the game of golf, the history of the game, and the golf swing itself. He feels that the fundamentals are the most important part of the game, and returning to them from time-to-time will help all golfers improve.
If you’re a beginner, a junior, or someone who wants to freshen up the fundamentals, then John is the right instructor for you.
